Hungarian Translation Services

For over 25 years Jonckers has been an innovator in speedy, cost effective translation

At Jonckers, all our Hungarian language experts are accredited and we specialise in delivering the best quality translation and localization services. These language experts are aware that just word-to-word translations are never enough. Sometimes, these can be misunderstood and can be lost in translation and deliver the exact opposite meaning of the desired message and hence, are familiar with the cultural nuances of the language along with the local business practices.

The content needs to be localised enough so that the intended audience can understand it, and we take pride in delivering the best service there is in the field. Each team of translators is handpicked and has to go through a rigorous 3-step program. This includes training and testing the translators first, which tells us if a particular translator is an expert in Hungarian and are also aware of the cultural differences and the common business etiquette regarding a particular field. After translators clear the test, they are certified to work on your project. As a result, our translators are one step ahead of our competition.

But our work does not just stop at finding a Hungarian language expert; to fine tune our delivery process, we have developed WordsOnline, which is a translation program to ensure that the translation is consistent. This is made possible with the help of complex algorithms that get right to work by selecting high-risk content and analysing it, making the delivered content highly quality controlled. A “crowd” of translators work on the translations simultaneously and you can check every translator’s competence and expertise through your personal dashboard. We do this because we want you to trust that our translated content is in-line with your requirements.

Why You Need Our Hungarian Translation Services

The Hungarian language is spoken mainly in Hungary but also in parts of Yugoslavia, Romania, Croatia and Slovakia. One can find many words that have been borrowed from other languages, namely German, Slavic, Latin, Iranian and Turkik. Hungarian is a member of the Uralic language family and close cousins to the Khanty and Mansi languages. It is considered to be one of the most difficult languages to learn for non-natives because of the Hungarian case system, which has a large number of complex rules and about 26 cases. The language has 14 vowels, and not pronouncing a word correctly can change its meaning completely.

Hungarian is considered an agglutinative language, which means that one can add grammatical suffixes, thereby lengthening the word. Interestingly, though Hungarian has evolved as much as other languages, it has still kept a large number of its original words, a whopping 68%. If that does not impress you, then consider the English language, which has only retained just 4%. Another fact that you might not be aware of is that a lot of Hungarian family names have been used to name actual locations all over the world; around 6,000 of them! The locations are as far and diverse as India, Iran, Malta, Tunisia and Burkina Faso.
