Brussels, Belgium – 23rd September 2022 – The CEO of Jonckers Translation & Engineering, Silke Zschweigert, was named Gold Winner in the Female Executive of the Year in Europe, the Middle East & Africa category in the 19th annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run – worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.

Silke Zschweigert has been recognized for her clear strategic vision and strong employee-driven leadership. Silke has been pivotal in releasing WordsOnline, Jonckers’ proprietary AI-powered translation platform, into the localization market. Before joining the company, WordsOnline was only used internally, but Silke recognized the potential the platform would have if external users could be given access to its powerful features.

Since launching WordsOnline externally, customers have praised its speed, efficiency, and innovative approach to localization. Alongside her corporate mission, Silke has also devoted a lot of time and attention to Jonckers’ employee satisfaction, taking great care to listen to employee feedback and take appropriate action to address concerns. In 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Jonckers launched a policy of unlimited holidays for all employees, a policy that has been welcomed and used to great success by staff members from all departments.

Silke’s considered approach and measured responses have seen Jonckers’ employee satisfaction score increase steadily since her appointment as CEO. More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories. Silke won in the category Female Executive of the Year in Europe, the Middle East & Africa. Finalists were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on seven juries. Their scores will also determine the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award placements that will be revealed at the 19th annual awards dinner and presentations in Las Vegas. Silke was awarded for her strong strategic vision and employee-centric leadership.
