RMCH Charity Update

RMCH Charity Update

Jonckers has always committed to supporting charities local to their offices. Our Manchester team chose to support the (RMCH) Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity in 2017 and continues to drive awareness and contribute to this day.

Our team have shown real dedication to the cause already. VP of Operations Patrick, PgM Britta and Language Analyst Bethan all completed the 60 mile Manchester to Blackpool bike ride in 2018. Whilst Global Marketing Director Richard has signed up to the Manchester 10k run in May to raise extra sponsorship. Chiara Raimondo attended the Christmas Carol Service hosted by RMCH at Manchester Cathedral and we have had an office visit from the fundraising team from the hospital in 2019 already.

We are very proud and pleased to announce that in 2018 we raised £20,000 for the charity as well as our annual Christmas toy donation to the long term patients ward. Our continued commitment to the RMCH will focus on raising funds and further exposure for the iMRI Scanner appeal.

The hospital is hoping to secure enough support to fund this vital piece of equipment in 2019 which will transform how the hospital perform brain surgery on the children admitted at the unit. The Appeal aims to raise £4m to purchase state-of-the-art intra-operative Magnetic Resonance Imaging (iMRI) equipment that will revolutionize surgical care at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital – making a huge difference to hundreds of children and their families.

This life saving equipment is integral to the survival of more children treated at the hospital. We were lucky enough to visit the hospital and speak with leading surgeons and staff leading the charge on this fund raising mission. We would like to share Amelia’s story with you to show the significance of this appeal and one of the reason Jonckers are continuing to support the RMCH Charity this year. WATCH AMELIA’S STORY HERE.
