Jonckers attended another great industry event last week in London. Our UK Division was invited to participate in the Tech powered by Retail Week event at the capitals Olympic Stadium. The gathering focused on and highlighted the advances and progressive thinking in Retail Technology. As the only language service provider we were in high demand chatting to delegates about the advantages of NMT, our WordsOnline platform and answering questions from start-ups and investors about global expansion.
The event, hosted by leading industry publication Retail Week, was a huge success. Jonckers were featured sponsors alongside huge tech retail players such as Google, Visa, Amazon and Microsoft. It was a chance for us to showcase our services to one of our core audiences. The requirement for global presence in retail is probably more relevant than in any other sector. With online shopping increasing year on year, the amount of retailers trading internationally in todays market is at an all time high. The discussions, meetings and informal chats we had with the delegates all highlighted the importance of language in retail and we are very much looking forward to touching base with our new contacts over the coming weeks.
