Marc Jonckers

Marc Jonckers, Founder and President

Marc has been active in the localization industry since 1986. Prior to forming Jonckers in 1994, Marc set up, developed and managed business services companies in Belgium on behalf of European private equity and venture capital investors. He holds a university degree in translation from the I.S.T.I. and a master degree from Solvay Business School (IADE). Marc's scope of responsibilities covers international development, innovation and strategic planning. He is also an executive and general assembly board member of LCJ EEIG, which Jonckers co-founded in 1999.
 
Catherine Delbar

Catherine Delbar, CFO

As Chief Financial Officer, Catherine leads all financial resources and activities for Jonckers' global organization. Drawing upon extensive experience as one of Belgium's leading financial strategists, Catherine secures Jonckers' track record of exponential growth and financial stability. She previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Universal Media (IPG) and as Senior Financial Manager for AC Nielsen. Catherine holds an ISFSC from Haute Ecole Groupe ICHEC–ISC Saint-Louis in Brussels, Belgium.
 
Sung Cho

Sung Cho, Vice-President, APAC

Sung leads and manages the Asian & Pacific regional operations including major Asian markets of China, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. Before joining Jonckers, Sung has extensive experiences on both service provider and client side, most recently as a country manager of Bowne Global Solutions Korea. He has more than 10 years of engineering & business experience both in software development and localization in Rivio, Network Commerce, Microsoft, and Symantec. Sung has Degree in computer science from University of Waterloo in Canada and a Masters from Sogang University in Korea.
 
Ian Butler

Ian Butler, Vice President, Business Development Europe

As vice president of Business Development Europe, Jonckers Translation & Engineering, Ian Butler has over 17 years of experience in the localization industry working in a diversity of roles, including senior technical, operational and business development. Prior to joining Jonckers, Ian established and ran the Global Content and Localization groups at PayPal. His expertise lies on both the customer and the client sides, with experience developing and implementing localization strategies. Ian earned his MSc in Technology Management from University College Dublin in 2002, his BSc(hons) in Computer Applications from Dublin City University in 1998, and formal qualifications in electronics and audio engineering in 1988/89. Ian is a member of TILP.
 
Jorge Estevez

Jorge Estevez, Group Operations & Processes Manager

Jorge joined Jonckers in 1998. After holding several positions in the organization, he was appointed Group Operations Manager in 2005. Jorge brings more than 11 years of experience in localization engineering, project management and customer service. Jorge began his career in the localization world in 1995 at Microsoft in Dublin, where he worked as a software engineer. Before Microsoft, he was a software developer at the Royal Observatory in Edinburgh. Jorge graduated in Physics from Seville University (Spain) and holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Edinburgh University (UK).
