Localization Project Manager
Position and Role

The Project Manager is considered a member of the Production Team and reports directly to the Manager.

In carrying out his/her duties the Project Manager works primarily with customers,  and all resources assigned to the projects under his/her responsibility.

The Project Manager coordinates the production operations carried out by resources assigned to one or more projects and he/she is the company interface with clients. The Project Manager’s main duty is to ensure that projects run smoothly and are economically efficient, that the schedules are respected and emergency situations are kept to a minimum.

The Project Manager performs his/her role independently. Work is carried out according to specific targets set by the company and in pursuit of the objectives described in this job description.

Main Role Objective

  • Manages projects from a financial standpoint and achieves economic targets set by the management
  • Manages communication with all parties involved in the projects in order to better represent the company
  • Manages project planning in order to ensure that projects run smoothly and that project deadlines are respected
  • Implements all measures necessary to ensure high quality based on the instructions provided by the customer and the targets set by the Company
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of the quality of the deliverables and to streamlining the processes

Duties

The Project Manager is mainly responsible for the following project areas: Financial, Planning, Communication and Training.

Financial Management

  • Define preliminary project budget, update running budget and consolidate final budget
  • Assist the Sales team in the quote process by providing document analyses, costs and turnaround times. Prepare project quotes as specified in the internal guidelines
  • Perform cost analysis and determine investment needs and cost rectification when necessary
  • Be proactive in detecting “critical” financial situations, provide solutions and inform all appropriate stakeholders (where required)
  • Complete invoices and issues POs to vendors
  • Define, manage, monitor and update project plans and schedules based on client’s instructions and/or instructions by the [……]
  • Analyze projects to define tasks, priorities and commitment in terms of turnaround times and resources
  • Manage and monitor execution of tasks according to plan performed by resources (human, hardware and software)
  • Be proactive in detecting “critical” planning situations and provide solutions
  • Organize and implement Quality Assurance checks
  • Identify potential organizational or operational issues by informing all appropriate stakeholders
  • Manage relations with freelancers assigned to the project
  • Provide all appropriate stakeholders with feedback on vendors’ performance
  • Promptly inform all appropriate stakeholders of any need for human resources, hardware and software
  • Compile project reviews, post-mortems and suggest improvement steps
  • Inform all appropriate stakeholders of any training necessary for performance improvement
  • Keep up-to-date on processes and tools to better perform the own job
